The Credentialed Veterinary Technician performs a critical role in providing high quality care for patients. Credentialed Technicians are key partners to the veterinarians, providing the appropriate support to ensure each client interaction and procedure is seamless and successful. Credentialed Technicians apply their professional skills in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, laboratory testing, patient nursing, and client education.
Equine Focus: Technician must have horse experience and comfort in handling horses of all ages and trained abilities. Position involves a small amount of small ruminant restraint. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Position involves handling, restraint, procedures such as IV and IM injections, blood draws, radiographs, dental work, monitoring anesthesia, client communication, inventory, ordering, and computer work. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Adobe. Position does involve small animal technical work if desired.
Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, and Fri: 8 am-5 pm
Wednesday and Thursday: 8 am-6 pm
2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month: 8 am-noon (call for appointment)
Anticipated Schedule: 36-40 hours per week working 4 days per week.
Please note: Position is mobile and travels from farm to farm.
Pay range: $16 - $24
