As our Managing DVM, you’ll play a vital role in both the clinical and operational success of the practice. This is the perfect opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine and leading by example.
You’ll be responsible for:
Providing medical and non-medical leadership within the hospital
Managing and mentoring associate veterinarians
Ensuring compliance with all veterinary medical policies and regulations
Cultivating a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement
Driving medical excellence and advancing standards of care
Collaborating with hospital leadership on operational decisions
Monitoring financial performance and helping set strategic goals for continued growth

Lead, mentor, and develop the veterinary team
Ensure exceptional patient care and client service standards
Oversee compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Develop and implement medical protocols and SOPs
Partner with hospital leadership on budgeting, staffing, and goal setting
Foster an environment of trust, communication, and positivity
Perform exams, surgery, and diagnostics as a practicing DVM
Perform comprehensive exams and diagnostics for companion animals
Utilize and interpret a range of diagnostic tools and imaging equipment
Prescribe medications and recommend appropriate treatments
Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures (if desired)
Provide guidance on preventive care, wellness, and nutrition
Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary ethics
DVM or VMD degree from an accredited AVMA program
Active veterinary license in the state of Florida (or eligibility)
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience (leadership experience preferred)
Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills
Passion for progressive medicine and practice development
