Meet Our Medical Team

Led by Dr. Tom Buckley, who founded the practice over three decades ago, our veterinary team brings a wide range of expertise and interests to the table:

  • Dr. Buckley has special interests in ophthalmology, pain management, and surgery.

  • Dr. Larry Garten has been a fixture of the clinic since 2002, known for his clinical excellence and compassionate client communication.

  • Dr. Hillary Henslee, who joined in 2019, brings a special passion for cardiology and dentistry.

  • Dr. Eden Logan, the newest member of our team since 2022, focuses on surgery, nutrition, and dentistry.

Together, we collaborate, mentor, and continually elevate each other—because great care comes from great teamwork.

Essential Responsibilities

  • What You’ll Do

    • Perform thorough exams and diagnostics to assess pet health

    • Interpret lab results and operate diagnostic equipment

    • Provide thoughtful treatment plans and client education

    • Conduct routine and advanced surgical procedures

    • Prescribe medications and treatment protocols

    • Support pet owners through end-of-life decisions with compassion

    • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

    • Uphold the highest standards of ethics and compliance

Requirements/Qualifications

  • What We’re Looking For

    • DVM or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited institution

    • Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Kansas

    • DEA/BNDD eligibility

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • A collaborative spirit and client-first mindset

    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (and more with assistance when needed)
