More about the Role

A successful candidate for the position will be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a faced paced environment, communicate effectively and professionally with team members, provide compassionate customer service, demonstrate proficient computer use and able to work 4, 10-hour shifts (often 8:00 am - 6:00pm), Monday - Friday. No Weekends!

 

Compensation will be based on your experience.

  • Organization Skills: Clear tracking of lab specimens, medications, patient instructions, workflow, and other job-related items while managing multiple patients and clients.
  • Client Satisfaction: Ensuring all activities and interactions result in the highest level of client satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities

Technician job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting doctors in exam rooms
  • Patient restraint IV catheter placement
  • Medication and vaccine administration
  • Radiology
  • Preparing and reading in-house lab samples such as fecals and urinalysis
  • Presenting treatment plans to clients
  • Educating clients on take home medication administration, preventative care and flea/heartworm medications
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications

 

  • Must be able to work 4, 10-hour shifts (often 8:00 am - 6:00pm) 
  • Previous veterinary experience preferred
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
  • Practice OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE
  • Basic math and the ability to calculate medication dosages
  • Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS office applications, etc.
  • Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety

Pay Range

USD $15.00 - USD $20.00 /Yr.
